The Story

We wanted a choker that did not read as a collar: something that sits at the base of the throat but still moves, breathes and catches light individually rather than as one solid band.

The solution was to break the front of the choker into seven separate open petals, each one outlined in pavé with a plain polished centre, spaced along the chain so that each moves independently against the skin. Worn, the petals shift as you turn your head — which is the thing a solid collar can never do.

The rose gold is deliberate. Pavé in yellow gold can look busy at this scale, and in white metal it can look cold; rose gold has a warmth that lets the stones read as light rather than as glitter, and it flatters the collarbone in a way no other tone does.

Design & Craftsmanship

Each petal is pierced by hand — the negative space at its centre is cut, not cast — so the motif has crisp interior edges and a lightness that a solid charm cannot achieve. Around each pierced centre, tiny lab-grown white sapphires are set in a shared pavé bead, meaning the stones sit shoulder to shoulder with almost no visible metal between them.

The chain is fine but reinforced at every point where a petal attaches, because that is where chokers usually fail. It closes at 14 in with a fine extender and a miniature heart tag, so you can wear it tight at the throat or a touch lower depending on the neckline.

Everything is 18K rose gold vermeil over recycled 925 sterling silver at 2.5 microns, with a copper-forward alloy that keeps the blush tone true as it ages instead of drifting toward yellow.

How to Wear It

Petal is the piece to build a neckline around. Worn tight with an open collar or an off-the-shoulder top, it is the whole look. Worn on the extender it becomes the top layer of a two- or three-necklace stack: add the Astra pendant at a longer length for a soft, romantic combination, or the Lune lariat for a sharper, more geometric one.

Care

Chokers sit close to the skin, so they meet more perfume, sunscreen and perspiration than any other necklace. Put it on last and take it off first.

Wipe the pavé with a dry, soft brush — never a cloth, which snags on prong tips — and never submerge it. Store it flat and fastened so the petals cannot catch on one another.
